Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis

Composed in the final stage of his prolific and stellar career, and living with profound deafness by this time, Beethoven described the Missa Solemnis, completed in 1823, as his finest work.

The concert features a large Canberra-based cast of choral and orchestral musicians and four soloists: Sarah DarnleyStuart (Soprano), Emma Mauch (Alto), Ryan O’Donnell (Tenor) and Sitiveni Talei (Bass).
