The exhibition includes Ann James’ preliminary and final artworks and Margaret Wild’s multiple draft manuscripts along with the publisher’s comments for both author and illustrator.
Margaret Wild has published 126 books, and Ann James, 96.
Together their books have won over 150 awards world-wide. Their books appear in 25 translations
The National Centre for Australian Children’s Literature holds 358 book editions and related items by Margaret Wild including 15 translations, and166 book editions and related items by Ann James including 8 translations. The centre also holds research material exploring their work
