Playful theme for new $25,000 sculpture prize

This new prize aims to celebrate outdoor public art that exudes a sense of play and imagination. Artists are encouraged to challenge viewers with experiential works that can be small, large scale, or site specific to the beautiful Shaw Wines and surrounding Murrumbateman countryside.

[email protected] will be a biennial prize set in the rolling paddocks of Shaw Wines . Four generous prizes are on offer:

  • The $15,000 [email protected] Prize
  • $5,000 Cellar Door Prize for smaller works
  • $3,000 Emerging Artist Prize
  • $2,000 People’s Choice Award.

The Fields Murrumbateman will provide an additional $40,000 worth of finalist bursaries to support [email protected] prize finalists with $1000 each to transport and install their sculptures.

The judges will be Sarah Schmidt, Director of Canberra Museum and Gallery, Genevieve Jacobs, arts journalist and Region Media Group Editor, Graeme Shaw, Owner of Shaw Wine,s and Monika McInerney, Artistic Director and Co-CEO of Belco Arts.
