Connecting Stories: Innovations National Portrait Gallery Saturday 9 April and Sunday 10 April 11.30am, 12.15pm, 1pm & 1.45pm
Three organisations are collaborating in this performance: professional dance companies, Australian Dance Party and Catapult Dance (Newcastle), youth dance companies, QL2 Dance and The Flipside Project and young QL2 dancers.
Connecting Stories: Innovations is the first of two connected works made in response to the National Portrait Gallery’s exhibition Shakespeare to Winehouse. The second, in June, will be entitled Connecting Stories: Generations.
18-19 December 2021 at 6pm QL2 Theatre, Gorman Arts Centre 55 Ainslie Ave, Braddon ACT
QL2’s senior Quantum Leapers, mentored by staff and supported by others in the ensemble as collaborators and performers, try their hand at choreography.
Ten young artists supported by additional dancers explore different models of creative practice both live and filmed. This project is an important starting point in the development of their choreographic practice and leadership potential.
