Tenzin Choegyal  – Heart Strings

Artist, composer, cultural ambassador and son of Tibetan nomads, Tenzin Choegyal feels a connection to the music of the high Himalayan plateau and remains dedicated to preserving the cultural traditions of his ancestors.

Tenzin is a master of the lingbu (bamboo flute) and the dranyen (three-stringed lute) but is best known for his vocal ability.

Tenzin performs original compositions inspired by Tibetan texts and poetry, traditional nomadic songs and playful folk tunes drawing on Tibetan wisdom.

Tenzin has partnered with Laurie Anderson and Philip Glass on major works for stage and film. His  album with Laurie, Songs from the Bardo, was nominated for a 2021 Grammy Award.
