Live Festival – Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 November 2021, Huonville, Tasmania
Digital Festival – Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 November 2021
This is Australia’s southern-most literary festival, a celebration of books, writing and community in the scenic Huon Valley, Tasmania.
Living Arts Canberra is pleased to announce that we are a media partner for the festival.
Undaunted by COVID restrictions, festival Director LJM Owen has produced a two-stage event consisting of live, live-streamed and virtual programming across two weekends.
The last weekend of November will feature an international digital festival, including in-depth interviews with authors, book parties, exclusive book clubs, writing mini masterclasses and opportunities to hang out with oodles of crime and mystery authors.
Authors appearing at the festival include Ann Cleeves, Sulari Gentill, RWR McDonald, Candice Fox, Anita Heiss, Alan Carter, Favel Parrett, Natalie Conyer, Angela Savage, David Owen, Meg Keneally, Michael Burge, Angela Meyer, Jack Heath, Debra Oswald, Karen Brooks, L.A Larkin, Katherine Kovacic, Lindy Cameron, Nick Clements, Poppy Gee, Tansy Rayner Roberts, Narelle Harris, Alan Baxter and Sarah Thornton.
For those who can be in Tasmania, there’s an intimate (though socially distanced) live festival on 6 and 7 November, with panel discussions, a dinner and books galore. Venues will include the Huonville Town Hall, Huon Valley Hub and Frank’s Cider House and Café in Franklin.
