If you are in Melbourne in the week leading up to Easter, you have the rare opportunity to enjoy The Song Company and the Choir of Trinity College.

Antony Pitts, Artistic Director of The Song Company first conducted this masterwork at New College, Oxford. He later recorded it with TONUS PEREGRINUS in discussion with Arvo Pärt himself, leading to a new and precise articulation of the many moments of silence in Passio.

The recording turned out to be an award-winning and chart-topping album. PItts regards Passio as one of the most telling works of the late 20th century, with its uncanny underlining of the text of the St John Passion.”
