Entries close: 11:59 pm AEST 25 February 2024

The 42nd Stringybark short story competition is now accepting entries.

The competition calls for a 1500 word (max) story that will excite the judges. They are looking for great short stories on any theme at all but with two rules:

  1. It is to be written for those over the age of 16
  2.  It must have a link, no matter how tenuous, to Australia. The story could be set in Australia or have an Australian in it.

There is an award pool of over $1350 in cash and books provided by Graeme Simsion, Anne Buist and  Stringybark Publishing
