The Story
A promising new employee joins what appears to be a prestigious corporate firm, only to discover they have entered a nightmarish institution operating more like a psychological asylum than a place of business. Behind the polished façade of corporate professionalism lies a deeply corrupt organisation built on exploitation, manipulation and the systematic dismantling of individual autonomy.
As unsettling details emerge — surveillance that extends beyond reasonable bounds, unnaturally compliant colleagues, a pervasive atmosphere of fear masked by corporate jargon — Employee A begins piecing together the truth. An unexpected ally appears in the office manager, who has witnessed the company’s corruption firsthand. But in this game of complicity versus resistance, conscience becomes the most powerful — and most dangerous — force in the room.
All is not as it seems. A disappearance occurs. Isolated and increasingly targeted, Employee A must decide how far they are willing to go. Will they expose the truth, or lose themselves in the process?
Founded in 2020, The Training Ground delivers intensive six-month pre-professional contemporary dance programs for advanced-level dancers across the ACT and neighbouring regions. Each production is designed to elevate dancers through rigorous training and comprehensive skill development, providing a genuine company experience alongside industry professionals.
